Who we are
As an advisory group we bring together business voices to provide independent, strategic advice to the Local Authorities’ Joint Committee (JC) to help them shaping policies that drive economic growth, innovation, and sustainability.
As a voluntary group of experienced business leaders we act as a ‘critical business friend’ to our three local councils, via the Joint Committee, ensuring there is a business voice to provide advice, influence and review.
The board includes representation from the Chamber of Commerce, IOD, CBI and other business groups across the Cheshire + Warrington including the rural economy and 3rd Sector.
Together our voice is amplified ensuring that decision makers at local and regional level understand the issues, challenges and opportunities that businesses are facing and thereby highlighting opportunities and solutions rather than challenges.
CWBAB was set up in October 2024 by Enterprise Cheshire & Warrington on behalf of the Joint Committee of the three councils of Cheshire West & Chester, Warrington and Cheshire East with the specific desire to ‘hear’ the ‘Voice of business’ .
